Aiming at promoting young but talented European designers and artists, this French boutique carries selective labels from France, Denmark, Spain, UK, etc, mostly exclusive offered in China. Some of the brands are "Claudine Khiet" for clothing, “Labokoff” for artistic photos, "Tres Tintas" and "Lene Toni Kjeld" for wall paper and “Servane Gaxotte” for jewelry.

I was so glad when I heard that Les Lucioles had moved to the center of Shanghai! And what a surprise: the shop is twice bigger than before, which means more products to discover... This shop is like a museum for designs! Definitely my first choice when I look for a gift, which I always try to be meaningful... but girls be careful: it is not easy to resist for oneself!

Thanks a lot for coming to les lucioles last week-end! You are right, it was our opening, the shop was full of people, and it was quite difficult to move without touching anything.
I'm really sorry for what happened to you and your wife when you arrived, but this person is not part of les lucioles, as only my partner Nathalie, our two sales women and I work in the shop. Please rest assured that none of us would have react like this.

i walked by this store with my wife last weekend - it seemed like they were having an opening night party, as the tiny store was crammed with people. the moment my wife opened the door, her foot touched a small metal lamp (the moroccan kind that you see in the pictures here) that was placed RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE ENTRANCE, and immediately, some european guy standing nearby gives her a pissed off look and, in a completely obnoxious tone tells her to "xiao xin" (be careful!) being a complete idiot, the guy probably mistook her (a chinese american) for a local and felt entitled to talk down to her (for the record, i don't think anyone, local or not, should be spoken to that way).
shocked by his rude reaction to such a minor faux pas, my wife said sorry and continued inside, fuming. we were later greeted by ladies who appeared to work at/own the shop - both were very nice. we would have liked to shop around more, but the incident with the jerk (who seemed like one of the owners or a friend of the owner) totally turned us off to this place.
This shop is simply incredible!

Les Lucioles carries a selective collection of European clothing labels, jewelry, purses and wallpaper, most of which are offered exclusively in China.
