What was Frangipani reopens after a fire under a new name but with the same super-friendly vibe. The loft upstairs (nicknamed the Lesbian Lounge), offers secluded, candlelit tables. The downstairs remains open to all. The dim-light and corner position of the couches provide great opportunities for misbehavior.

This bar is best on the last Thursday of every month when they have ShanghaiLGBT night. 9 until late, free entry, and 15 rmb beers.
This my favorite GBLT bar of all time in Shanghai. 5/5 stars.
Improved on the friendly factor. Just needs a bit more styling but definitely a good deal for rmb100 open bar on Fridays.
