This lounge remains a standard place for moneyed Shanghainese to sit and drink. Fewer foreigners are found here than at the other Muses, but the music stays the same--commercial hip-hop and the occasional electro / minimal night. The park setting is the nicest things about this place. If the smoke gets too much, you can pop outside for a stroll and a breather.

Been to this place a few times, pretty nice venue, and the environment inside and outside are nice. Although it is a pretty long dark walk to get to the club, might be a bit dangerous for drunk girls walking after they leave. Seems like a lot of people complaining about bouncers being rough, I never had a problem with them but I did see a bouncer grab a guy pretty forcefully but it was because there was a performance going on and the idiot tried to walk in front of the stage which is fairly low.
A bit annoyed with the frequency of the live performances and having to get off the stage. But the music is good.
I'm sure this happens all over China and in a lot of clubs but I got pickpocketed for my iphone while I was dancing on stage, so be careful! The stage is especially dark at park 97! I think I may go back though, but ima definitely keep my hand in my pocket!
I totally agree with sharon01!! i was at park97 last night, and one of their bouncers threatened to hit me after he saw me leaning up against the sofas. when i went downstairs to complain of his behaviour, the staff said i was making it up and tried to physically drag me out of the club! to accuse their customers of lying and using excessive force on a woman is unbelievable! those so-called bouncers are on major power trips, and their manager turns a blind eye on it. there is NO WAY i will ever go back to that lounge again!
I would not advise people to visit park 97. We spent last evening with our son in the emergency department of the hospital. They had to seriously stitch his face and mouth and his teeth were knocked out. This was as a result of being beaten by the bouncers at the club.
