This Alice in Wonderland-themed lounge features some great drink deals and manages to enter the themed bar fray without overdoing it. The only confusion may come with playing card menu which includes everything from pizzas to home made rabbit stew.
- Contributor Description
The Rabbit Hole is an Alice in Wonderland themed lounge loosely based on Lewis Carroll‘s novel of the same name published in 1865. In the book a girl named Alice falls down a rabbit hole into a peculiar fantasy world populated by strange creatures and where the normal rules of physics don’t seem to apply. Our decor, lighting, cocktails and food all strive to capture this fun escapist theme. The atmosphere in The Rabbit Hole aims to be friendly and enjoyable, yet stylish, and will strive to provide a refuge from the stress of daily life…a place where one can forget about their worries for a while. Split into multi levels, the Rabbit Hole has a large selection of beverages as well as food. Come down and try one of out signature dishes such as the Rabbit Holes home made recipe of Rabbit Stew

Really like this place, the decor is definitely a bit out there, vibe is awesome, feels hidden away, drinks range the gamut from RMB30 carlsberg pours to RMb80 signature cocktails. Music policy is housy. Mixed crowd of Chinese and foreigners--all good looking people. Good service. Enjoy it while it's still pretty empty.

Pub Crawl Shanghai rolled past The Rabbit Hole last Thursday and drank ourselves silly on their fantastic beers, cocktails and SHOTS! We are loving this new bar so be sure to check it out, great location and fun decor! Thanks to everyone at the Rabbit Hole for adding to what was an EPIC Thursday night... just like every Thursday with the Drunken Dragon!

This Alice in Wonderland-themed bar manages to pull it off without looking like the remnants of a bad acid trip. Beers are on the cheap end (pints from RMB30) but cocktails go up rapidly from there. The only rabbits to chase are in the stew, which is accompanied on the playing-card menu by other Mediterranean dishes. But it’s unlikely you’ll be popping by for a full meal–this is more of a lounge. Check out the Jeffrey Shot Pail (look up “a Jeffrey” if you don’t know how this fits in with the theme).[HTML_REMOVED] [HTML_REMOVED]Our rating: 3/5[HTML_REMOVED][HTML_REMOVED] [HTML_REMOVED]Reviewed in May, 2011[HTML_REMOVED]
