This small spot in north Jing'an is worth the journey for any Beatles fans out there. A flatscreen plays videos by the Fab Four, plus contemporary pop. The walls, meanwhile, are covered in colorful portraiture in a Julian Opie style. Drinks are reasonable, at about RMB30-45, or RMB20 during a daily happy hour.

I came and reviewed your bar. I liked it. I like the Beatles. The review will go into the next issue, out March 24. Everyone in the area (north Jing'an) should head down and check out this fun, comfy spot. Yeah!

This little neighborhood bar has walls covered with paintings, specifically Julian Opie-style portraits and a few bits of pop art. A flatscreen shows Beatles footage cut up with Jay-Z videos and other pop. The drinks are totally standard, with beers from RMB30 and mixed drinks from RMB35, but if it were full (and it wouldn’t take much of a crowd to pack the place) then it would be a pleasant Friday-night pre-gaming spot for anyone who lives in the area. It’s cozy enough and there’s a happy hour daily until 8:30pm, when drinks will cost you just RMB20. If you’re a Beatles, or Opie fan, it’s worth a journey to north Jing’an.[HTML_REMOVED] Our rating: 2.5/5[HTML_REMOVED] [HTML_REMOVED]Reviewed in April, 2011[HTML_REMOVED]
