A fairly small place on the 2nd floor. More of a place to go sit and lounge, not a lot of room for dancing. I was only there briefly since it was one of the later destinations at the end of the night.
Very cozy, little spot. Worth going to get half price decent quality drink, otherwise it's too pricy for that place.

Good for happy hour, but normal price drinks aren't the quality you would expect for the price. I'd suggest the bartenders walk down the street to Kittos to learn a few tricks of the trade. Until the drink quality improves I'd suggest leaving when the clock strikes 10. Examples: watery Vodka Martini and an Old Fashioned served without the muddled orange.

Great place to drink cocktails even if you are not really keen on them... Tara 57 made me discover that Cocktails can be very amazing... Personnaly, always preferred strong alcohol like Whisky, Vodka or Tequila, straight... Not only I am converted to Cocktails but I have also developped a certain "penchant" for Absinth mixed with Cointreau???? It is absolutely leathal. The owner is very friendly and talks to every customers (this is a very nice touch)... The Bartender knows his stuff and I noticed that he tastes every single mix he does... Cocktails or food should always be tasted before they are served... Thumbs full up!!! and can't wait to go back for another "French Lady"!
I've been to Tara 57 for a couple of times, and the bar seats and ambience reallly attract me. I agree that the bartender is very professional and really has his passion in cocktails. I can't drink strong cocktails, and prefer fruity ones. Instead of choosing one from the cocktail list, I asked him to recommend one for me, impromptu one is fine too. A ginger flavoured one, pretty sweet, with a hinge of sourness, I loved it. Enjoy sitting at the bar seats, chatting with friends, and enjoying the cocktails!
though the place isn't big, it's spacious enough for people to chill and drink. the bartender is superb! we just told him the kind of flavours that we want, and he can make it on the spot for us~ a professional bartender. Tara really serves quality drinks and cocktails.
I would say that the service at Tara was great. The bartender was friendly and professional. Having understood our preferences (Long and sweet), he went on to suggest El Diablo. It is definitely a nice place to enjoy good drinks and chill out.

Wandering into Tara 57 was something of a treat since this cozy, red-toned cocktail bar is perfect for small groups looking to unwind. Manager Jonah Buttz, formerly of 42 Below Vodka, recommended the Crouching Tiger, Hidden Absinth, a perfect pairing of Czech absinth (60 proof) and some of the freshest ingredients we've seen outside our last fruit salad. Buttz scooped out a fresh passion fruit before our eyes then added 42 Below Passion Fruit vodka, pear juice and some sugar syrup to the mix before shaking, straining and topping our drink off with a mint garnish. We happily enjoyed the first passion fruit we've had in a while, and savored the slight liquorish (thanks to the absinth) complimentary kick at the end. There are a number of bars now trying to enjoy the rising popularity of cocktails, but it's the unique and fresh ingredients that make a drink like the Crouching Passion Hidden Absinth stand out.
Pubcrawl rolled past Tara last thursday and had a superb time. Great drinks, great music, great bar! Thanks for always being up for a drink or several, perfect now that summer is here!
