Sample heaping portions of spicy dishes such as the fiery oil-soaked chicken, steamed fish and sesame tofu, then cool down with some ginko nut chicken soup. Performances during dinner time, such as dances and "face-changing" acts, are also wildly popular, so make reservations.

Hadn't been in a few years until tonight. Took some friends in from out of town. Remembered the food being A LOT better and cheaper. How things have changed. Service isn't too bad. They could be a bit more attentive. Portions size is just right but for the price it should be. Show is great, especially for those who will never make it to Sichuan province. Overall, if you want authentic Sichuan flavor you're better off going some where else. But if you don't mind the price and want entertainment (Sichuan Opera) it's not a bad venue. Show comes on at 7:40pm. Provide reservations up to 6:30pm.

On our visit to this restaurant it was busy and seemed popular with an equal mix of Western and Chinese diners. The menu had basic English translation and pictures of the dishes to help with the selection. The service was efficient and drinks and food were served quickly. We ordered a chicken dish which had a great spicy Sichuan flavour, but had more bone than chicken so it was not easy to eat (and not very filling). We also had some spicy ribs (so more bones) which were overcooked and the meat was quite dry and tasteless.
I'm not sure what kind of fish we chose, but it was lightly cooked and easy to eat as there were very few bones (it was also quite expensive as it was sold by weight). The noodles were very good (and very cheap), they were served in individual portions in a spicy broth with a few green veggies. Unfortunately, we did not see any signs of entertainment, maybe we were too early/late or there on the wrong night.
Sufficiently spicy classic food, lively atmosphere. It's okay to just walk in on a weekday without prior arrangement.

Food is ok, value for money if you go in a group like we did. The spicy, oil-soaked chicken is good, so are the fish-flavored aubergines and ear mushrooms. Fatty pork strips with cucumber were very bland, as were the vegetable rolls. Show starts at 8 pm and lasts about 10 min.
