Went for lunch and it was not so good, but went for dinner and it was fantastic!
What spoiled lunch was the service, they just couldn't get anything right, not even the drink order. Not to mention I was starving and get very grumpy if I'm not fed properly when hunger strikes. Keep up the training here and it will be better (that goes for many other places too though)
Dinner seemed to have more people and service was more on point than the time I had gone for lunch. The pizza was very good and hot out of the oven. Environment was also pretty nice and the seats are quite comfortable.
I will come back here to have more meals because I enjoy the relaxed environment and it is reasonably priced.

Went awhile ago for the lunch special. Ambiance nice, pretty good service, and decent food. Didn't blow me away, but definitely was well-priced and tasty. I think my favorite was desert, a yummy chocolate cake.

Quite a good place to go to...interesting meals, different from what we find usually. Very good presentation

Price's worth it... you're Italian? You won't be disappointed. Even better on specials events when you can try more... Enjoy! The bemol? You might have to eat again soon...
went there as i bought a groupon from wufantuan.. wanted to try it as the menu seemed appetizing.. had a cold cut dish with vegetable soup for the appetizer.. lasagne and grilled chicken for the mains followed by a chocolate fondant for dessert... to be honest, the dessert was the best.. the rest of the food was okay tasting.. if you happen to go there, try the grilled chicken.. the bread they served was fococia which smelt bad and in my opinion should not be served together with the soup! service was quite good, we even had the bartender coming over to chat with us.. he was from anhui so naturally he would be that friendly.. atmosphere was nice and cosy.. overall experience 6.5/10!

I was shocked at how generous the portions were, especially with the pizza. I ordered a parma ham pizza, which came with alot of ham and cheese. (it was thin and crusty too :)!)
Sorry for having being a bit judgmental while i was there, but i saw a few lost-looking bar staff, and hence I didn't quite dare to order a drink. (which were abit pricey)
I wish I had more friends with me at that point of time, to try abit more of the menu, the next time (if i do return) I would definitely try the pasta.
Didn't have much space for dessert after the filling pizza!
Service staff could try to look a little happier while working there. Didn't smile much at me even though I smiled alot at them. Left the restaurant with my mood slightly more sour.

Big fan of their pizzas ... even more so after enjoying them for six months inside the Expo. It is definitely a place with some good dishes. I don't care if the first floor is for the smokers, it is very relaxing to sit by the window and just watch the day go by.

We had a calzone and a pizza--both were really good, fresh, and came out quickly. The staff was polite, too. It's a shame that the nonsmoking area is upstairs--it's nice up there, but the 1st floor has a great open feel.

Went to the Super Brand location today for lunch. A bit over priced but decent sauce. For lunch, I probably won't return. Nothing special - won't make a point of going out of my way to visit the Huai Hai Lu location.

The best lunch downtown. For only 32 RMB you get a delicious pizza with Parma Ham... or a tasty pasta dish with lot of cheese. Then for 5 RMB more you can get a great choco dessert or cheesecake. The place is nice and big and the deal is best for lunch. I recommend this place, I'll go again.

Slightly above average pizza, good ingredients and cheese but pretty disappointing dough (although crispy and thin).

Can you conpensate an extra charge because I was orvercharged by you. I check this website and found that you had the bargain lunch set today. I went to your restaurand and sat down with my family. Then I ordered the lunch sent but your staff said that you can not serve the lunch set today. You can serve lunch set tommorow as well like you mentioned in this web-site? Are you attracting your guest by this way and get more charge??? You have to pay the extra charge to me right now.

I am sorry to read complaints about our service, we are aware of the problem and we're trying to do our best to improve it. I don't know what you call "house red", as we do not have any house wine, but we sell Italian Amore Wine Brand, we have a full range of reds, whites and sparkling wines from different regions of Italy. We also sell bottled S. Benedetto still and S. Pellegrino sparkling water, plus soft drinks, Italian and foreign beers and so many other special drinks. We do focus on the quality of ingredients, and try to improve the service every day. You are welcome to try again, if something goes wrong, please complain formally to our store manager.
The decent comfort food here does not make up for the vile house red and the vile service. We were the only table in the whole restaurant on a Friday night and they can't remember what we ordered. Our mains took forever to arrive since the staff were busy gossiping and checking their nails.
This place does not serve water. Not even bottled stuff. Only vile sugared water and vile coke. BYO Evian.
Shalln't be back - plenty of other Italian fish in the sea.

Iris, you wouldnt' have to play charades if you attempted to learn a bit of Chinese would you?

Was very pleasantly surprised by Bricco. The pizzas were huge and the hot chocolate absolutely delicious. The only drawback is the service. Incredibly slow - hwen we got there, there were as many serving staff as there were customers (6 of each) and yet we had to battle to get their attention because they were so busy huddling in a corner chatting to each other. The wait staff's English wasn't that great - I know it's China, but it's also an italian restaurant and you'd like to be at least able to order pizza without having to play an entire round of charades. Maybe they just need to be trained on the menu better. Very clean restaurant, though and the food was delicious and the prices charmingly low. It'd be great if smoking were banned on at least one of the two floors so as to cater for every type of client.

I went last month to BRICCO Cafe... not a bad place. It had just opened so it was quiet. Nice place. Great food. Very "ITALIAN" feeling. Books that you can take off the shelf and look at while waiting. Nice cafe area and eating upstairs. The Chef recommended pizza was OUTSTANDING. It was so good and affordable that my wife and I got a second one. The appetizers were good and free... the drinks (a kind of sweet sparkling water...) were also free but that is because it just opened.
Overall a great place. It even had a little store... plenty of pens and pins for us to take and promote their restaurant.

In Need of Nona
Walking into Briccocafe, it was a delight to see a deli counter area with sandwiches, pizzas and salads ready to go and shelves of olive oil, semolina pasta, pestos and canned antipasti goods. With the sun in full force, we went straight for the mango smoothie (YY35). Thick, full of gelato and yogurt, mango-y and thirst quenching, it was nearly a meal in itself and definitely not disappointing. To follow, we opted for the mixed bruschetta plate (YY28), a trio of olive tapenade with a hint of sun-dried tomatoes, melted mozarella cheese and tomato salsa. A Bresaola Rucola Grana (YY38) chosen from the antipasti selection offered a mix of arugula and air-dried beef accompanied by a delectable, fruity bottle of extra virgin olive oil and Modena balsamic vinegar. The olive oil made a world of difference. Spaghetti Carbonara (YY45) and the chef's recommended Pizza Fattoria (YY55) topped with chicken, salami, mozarella and olives were next. The pasta had the right, elusive al dente bite to it, albeit maybe had been left under the heat lamps a bit too long. We were unfortunately too full to try out the selection of desserts which included the classic tiramisu (YY18). Though the food may be lacking a bit of a traditional Italian nona's love, Briccocafe almost makes up for it with its comfortable setting, deli goods and selection of Italian books. Plus, the unisex toilets are clean and sleek--always good in our books. -Grace Entry
