Took my girlfriend out to this during food week a few months ago and we were bitterly disappointed with the food here considering the reputation of Kathleen's other creations in this city.

The worst experience of the night was when we discovered the peas they served in the entre were frozen peas straight from the freezer. Not the kind of ingredients you would expect to be served in a such a fine environment.

Kathleen, please pick up the game here.

The worst service in Shanghai EVER. I tried to write down my comments on the survey they gave with the bill, and the waiter GRABBED the pen he gave for me to sign for my credit card, to keep me from filling it out. OUTRAGEOUS.

this rooftop restaurant and bar is a place to bring your date to if you haven’t already done so.. located at the popular ren ming guang chang area, the rooftop view is a paranomic view of the high rise buildings in the busty and crowded city area of shanghai.. food here is abit pricey but its worth it because of the nice view and company.. if possible, enjoy dinner with a few glasses of wine and be sure to go there when the PSI index is on a SUPER LOW condition.. all in all experience 7.5/10..

Bad service, mediocre food. Only redeeming feature is the location. Avoid.

Undercooked/raw chicken during our lunch visit last Saturday for RMB120 was not off-set by green view. Food safety is just the entry ticket.

Stunning view! Great ambience, great location and perfect terrace. I definitely recommend this place for a drink or two during 5@7. Food is overprice but relatively good. Australian beef tenderlion was apparently amazing (290rmb). I ate the lamb rack (260rmb) which was small and fatty but tasty. You can also find a good choice of wine for all kinds of budget.

Great location, awesome view, decor is okay, and the food is quite nice (but small). I love eating their fries! They come in good portions and are very tasty.

food is ok...service is a tad slow but earnest...view is great! unfortunately it was too hot to be sitting outside under the sweltering afternoon sun to enjoy the view...we ended up indoors couped up enjoying the cool aircon breeze instead...

I've been to other places on the Bund, but the view here is like no other in Shanghai. Didn't eat so I don't know about the food ...

Service is a tad slow, but the food is great and you can't beat the balcony on a nice day or warm evening.

Great Place for a Date. K5 has beautiful views of the People's Square, given that it is a glass house that sits on top of the Shanghai Art Institute. The lighting is quite dim for a more romantic atmosphere. I would save room for dessert, which was my favorite part of the meal. While the view is wonderful by the windows, in the dead of winter, guests might find it a bit cold.
