Since 1999, Sherpa's fleet of motorcycles and mopeds has been taking to the streets, offering prompt delivery service of an array of international and Chinese cuisine. Delivery service requires a RMB15-35 fee depending on your location.

Serving hungry people in Shanghai since 1999, Sherpa's now works with over 100 international and Chinese restaurants in Shanghai Puxi, Pudong, Hongqiao and Suzhou SIP and SND and Hangzhou. Check out menus online to order from one of Shanghai's top restaurants. Most delivery fees in downtown areas are 15rmb, if you are very far from the restaurant you are ordering from, you may be charged 30rmb.

Sherpa's a pioneer in delivering Shanghai's popular restaurants , I am not gonna tell them how to do their thing. And before sharing my thoughts, I would like to underline their remarkable customer service.

Being a frequent client , I've pointed out orders experience more and more delays. Most common reasons mentioned online ? 1) Lack of delivery staff 2) Rain . However, it turned that actually most orders never arrive within the 45 minutes promise. Not mines, anyway. Most of the time, it takes more than an hour.

Sherpa's management shall deal with that problem : I don't know if other customers like to wait their meal such long time, meal that undoubtedly arrives a bit decrepit and cold , but myself, I don't want to . And until they solve the issue, I'll be ordering from Element Fresh .

I am hard-pressed to find a more efficient, friendly and helpful food delivery service in Shanghai. The couriers are friendly and when late, apologize profusely (and we understand there's traffic! It's not your fault!). The phone operators and online chat agents are super helpful. The food comes hot and fast. Thank you, Sherpa's. Thank you.

After being bombarded via mail by Sherpa's finally yesterday I got an apology letter. During past weeks I received by post several menus of OHANA accompanied with Sherpa's letters. Sherpa's doesn't gives a heck about the Environment. They sent me so much garbage, all in thick paper just to annoy me and then apologize with another "non-green" letter.

The apology letter ends saying: " The best way to find out restaurants is logging into our website" . Of course, WE ALL KNOW THAT! Then why do you keep killing trees and sending so much GARBAGE. Anyways most of your customers are young westerners who know how to use the internet and seldom check their apartments mailboxes!! Also I'm sick of so much garbage / spam coming from El WIlly Group , it's either the spam on my e-mailbox or the menus delivered directly by Sherpa's ECOCIDES. Funny that last week EL Willy's Mkting manager was apologizing for a mistake in their database, and now Sherpa's is doing the same.

Just want to thank Sherpas for their great service. I have ordered from you guys 3 times in the last month and the food always arrives hot and fast. Your delivery drivers are really friendly too. So nice to see this service in Shanghai. Keep up the good work.

I am extremely happy with your service. I understand at times specially rainy days your service gets delayed reason being no one wants to go out, stay at home and order food from their favourite restaurants so sherpa is over loaded with delivery. I know sherpa is leading food home delivery company. Reason for penning my thoughts today is other day I was at my freinds place and I could not order from Sherpa because its too far or may be of the way for you, but a thing that stuck my attention was that my freind had three other restaurant home delivery booklet and they all had same restaurant listed. I being sherpa well wisher, i want to bring it to your notice that you must allow your restaurants to get listed with other delivery companies other wise your restaurant list will get shorter and they will grow on you. I know you are the pioneer in home delivery

Hi Mark. Yeah no problem. I tried to delete these posts after the food did arrive and requested them to be deleted.

In summary: Sherpas offered a deal which more than made up for the situation - which I happily accepted. The offer was proactively offered by the phone staff, so no stress there. Cheers!

The new website is a major improvement for Sherpa's. Tried it and loved it. I think the new strategy for user to first enter the location (annoying at first) is great, it allows user to order food cost effectively (by showing a list of closest restaurants & cheapest delivery fee). Good job guys!

Useless.

I haven't ordered from Sherpa's in about a year, and now I remember why I stopped.

They don't work with a few of my favourite restaurants, Munchies in particular being a personal "go-to" for a quick lunch fix.

Attempted to have an MSN conversation to make an order, it took ten minutes to be told that as they had no record of my number, they wouldn't be able to take the order from MSN.

So I called, and got told that they did not work with the restaurant I wanted to order from. Any alternative suggestions? No? Oh, thanks. Helpful.

Website currently ... bizarre to be honest. Some restaurants not listed and a lot of menus listed with "0 RMB" as the price for certain items. Can you honour that, guys?

It's going to take a year before I even consider coming back again. Well done.

It would be fantastic if Sherpa's allowed payment by Sodexho card or Smartpass card. That would make us use Sherpa's all the time...

narsfweasels can you email me? I'd like to see if you are using Internet Explorer 6. We are aware of pages half-loading using that browser. It seems to work for 7 & 8, just not for 6.

Yeah website isn't working for me either. Just stops loading halfway through and doesn't refresh.

Sherpa's have always been fairly good in my experience. Sometimes they are a little slow, but it's wise to get your order in before the rush times regardless of where you go.

The only issue I had was when I got a severe case of food poisoning from a restaurant (which I am extremely happy to see has disappeared) and Sherpa's were pretty ... meh... about the whole thing.

While it obviously wasn't their fault, I was not bowled over by the helpful response I didn't get from them.

So not any big issues, and the menu's are all pretty easy to find. You might have to actually leave your apartment to get one though. A scary prospect, no?

Sorry, thumbs down on the delivery. I ordered from one of the closest restaurants, only a caesar salad and cup of soup, but the delivery fee was RMB45! Definitely overrated.

On a rainy night, they got my food to me in less than half an hour. Therefore, a salute to the army of mopeds that never lets us down. When working late and too lazy to trek to the nearest xiaolongboa station, they deliver food, hot, fast and fresh, straight to our door (or desk).
