Tried the buy-one-get-one-free burger deal last night and I was pretty impressed. Loved the portobello burger. It's a solid vegetarian option on the menu.
Buy One Get One Burgers and Beers on Monday evenings!? How can you pass that up? This is a great spot for Monday dinner. I like to take home a second Mexican burger for lunch the next day, it heats up pretty well after a 12 hour period in the refrigerator. This is one of the only places, maybe the only place in Shanghai, that carries Samuel Adams Boston Lager...my favorite American beer. So, I naturally love visiting on a regular basis. The burgers are monsterous and the service is usually very good. Last week the waiters and waitresses were not very focused, but not a big deal. If you get a milkshake, as for it extra thick because if you don't it comes out like milk in a glass.
Good food and drinks and everything is up to the high standard of any other Blue Frog. The only problem is that this bar is always empty!
I have returned twice since my last review and I must say that the food and service has improved tremendously. The burgers are great and done just the way I ordered it. The service staff are quick and eager to please. the manager is friendly and greets the customers (maybe to mainly to the foreigners). This place seemed to have turned round, and definitely worth going for your burger fix!
Happy hours are about the only thing consistent between all of the blue frogs. Even though they boast the same menu in all location the presentation and the actual product is quite different. The staff at this location where more friendlier than the other locations. as usual when the management doesn't keep a eye on the ball , it often slips away..
