Last night ordered via sherpa's. Friend got a burger, just normal. I made the mistake of ordering their CNY 70 Nachos. Just to find out that they offer the least quantity of chips (compared with cantina, boxing cat, bamboo, and petes tex-mex). All of them send at least two plastic containers FULL of chips. The blue frog sent a carton box (yes the kind that get disgustingly soggy after the sherpa's ride) half- full of chips and covered with LETTUCE. I wondered who told their cook that nachos are to be topped with lettuce!! Others , the jalapenio plastic cup had 4 slices inside it. I understand there different styles of cooking a dish but covering the nachos with lettuce is just a cheap way to trick the customer and make the platter look bigger!!!! BTW I didn't find the beef chili and the black olives anywhere!!! First and Last try.
No joke, I need my Blue Frog burger every Monday. (Montana Burger is the way to go)
I like staff but I do miss my original waiter "Frank." I refuse to accept "Trainee" as a replacement. I LOVE YOU FRANK!
I like the place; looking through the windows it brings me back to the old days on the opposite site: standing on the street, drinking bears/hanging on the outside bar and looking at the girls dancing inside:)
One thing: the BF bartender with the glasses on Maoming Lu, please give him a smiling class or an attitude-friendly education. He sucks... cheers
Good burgers. But I went to Tongren Road for a Blue Frog burger the other day and it was closed. All of Tongren Road is closed!
Went there for burger burger night, really was a great deal. we are talking about 'real' burgers here, and we have 2 for the price of 1. Fantastic, patty is juicy, and the bun is nicely toasted, just the way I like it. Price for drinks are pretty reasonable. Great!!
There's a great vibe in the bar/restaurant. Trendy, yet chill all at the same time. It's not pretentious and people are just there having a drink with friends. A very comfortable atmosphere, yet makes for a great date. The service is, basically, fantastic. Extremely attentive, very polite and just all round lovely. The moment we were seated, we were happily told there was the burger special on. On top of that, there were "2-for-1 cocktails" as well!! However, it was ending in 10 mins, but she helpfully informed us that she would extend it a little for us, in case we wanted a second round. Did we? Oh yes.
4 cocktails and 2 burgers later, we were very very happy indeed. The burgers are fantastic. The best I've had in Shanghai so far. Fat and juicy, tasty fresh bun, and a crisp salad. Honestly would not change anything about the quality and taste - except for the size. They are really small. We weren't very full afterwards. Would prefer them much larger, but then again, considering the deal, I won't complain too much ;)
This was so so so so close to getting a * review, if not for the fries. On the plus side, they gave a generous portion, filling up half the plate. On the negative side, they were kind of inedible. They were hard and brown - either re-deep fried or cooked in not-so-fresh oil. Fries are meant to be golden in colour, crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. These were just hard and tasteless, with a slight odor of rancid oil. Not good.
It's a great place to have a chill Friday night. Highly rated and we'll be back!

Went last evening and service is still decent. The entire restaurant is non smoking which is another plus. There were a couple of new items but we had our old favorites : nachos, sliders and wings. All tasted good. Will be back again.
