Contributor Description:

City Weekend is teaming up with Globus Wine to run an Average Wine Tasting, where we will pit the tastebuds of 12 Average Joes (or Janes) against those of three wine professionals, including our wine columnist Paul Wong. The tasting will cover 12 different wines; three "winning" wines will be selected by the end of the event.

We'd attach a price to this prize, but it's priceless--you won't get to participate unless you're selected either here or by Globus Wine. Luckily, we've managed to hold spots for the five lucky winners of this contest.

To Win

Simply answer the following question in the comment section below. The most creative answer will win. Users who post more than one answer will be disqualified. Enter before Apr. 12, 3pm to win. Winners will be announced the same day at 5pm.

Tell us: If you had your own winery, what would you name it?

winkchant = win + chant

Meanwhile, the pronunciation is similar to Chinese words “yun cang’, which means the wine has being stored for several years and can also indicate the long history for winery itself.

Scarlet Flame.

Aside from being hot and sexy, these two words are also shades of red, like Burgundy, Rose, and Sangria.

I would include the three most important components in naming any wine: 1) The location 2) The family name 3) and the creative phrase.

Jericho, t (nickname), creative t-tea.

Sweet tea of Jericho.

Ruby Tuesday

Ruby, for the color of the wine (and cuz the song is catchy), and once the wine gets out there I can diversify my product range into the other days of the week, much like Wolf Blass did with their colored labels. Only this is much better, because it implies that you should drink a different bottle everyday of the week!
