Three-time FIFA World Cup winners Germany have scheduled friendlies with China and the United Arab Emirates, the German Football Association (DFB) announced.
Die Mannschaft will take on China in Shanghai on May 29 before travelling to Abu Dhabi to face the UAE on June 2 in a match that the 2007 Gulf Cup winners will use to prepare for their 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Korea Republic which takes place four days later.
Germany head coach Joachim Loew is expected to name a full-strength squad for the trip to Asia with the exception of those players who are taking part in the German Cup final which is scheduled for May 30
The UAE last hosted Germany back in 1994 with the visitors running out 2-0 winners in Abu Dhabi while China’s only meeting with the European powerhouse was in 2005 with the Chinese going down 1-0 in Hamburg.
