Tonight, That's Shanghai is putting on an erotic fiction night at The Glamour Bar with the people from H.A.L. Publishing, who recently brought out that collection of short stories by foreigners living in Shanghai, Party Like It's 1984. There will be readings of erotic short stories by some of the HAL authors and tunes on the go from DJ Pony Boy Clement. Drink specials are in effect, which is handy because Glamour Bar is pricey. A lucky draw offers sexy prizes from Lelo.
After that, head to Dada, where "Phreaky" Jane Siesta is the guest at the Ice Cream Truck's new regular Thursday night shindig, Melt. Joining her will be Milan J (Wonky Kong), The Uhhh (TICT), and Mau Mau. That starts at 10:30pm, runs till late and is free to get in.
Or The Shelter has the ROM people and the Click! people going at it. That one features icenine and LLND, plus DJ sets from Drunk Monk, Cavia and visuals from Olivepixel. RMB20 to get in.

If you feel like getting legless and crawling, the annual Taco and Margarita Crawl is on for Saturday. This annual drunkfest takes you on a tequila-fueled bus tour of Shanghai's best Mexican spots, including Pistolera, Cantina Agave, El Mexicano, Teotihuacan, MAYA, Mi Tierra and Mexico Lindo. RMB375 includes everything and it starts at 11am, so be sure to grab a breakfast burrito to line your stomach.
If you're still to check out the new interior of Yuyintang, Saturday's show features three hardcore acts, The Instigation, Loud Speaker and Androsace. For something a bit sillier, we like the look of the Sock Hop going on at Lune, which features The Beat Bandits, plus DJ B.O. playing '50s pop, doowop, rock n'roll and jive. All the money raised goes to BEAN, who are using it to kit out some nursing homes for the elderly in Shanghai, and it's only RMB20 at the door.
For the perverts among you, Mattia Visconti is throwing the third anniversary Pervert Party at Prive, which will be rammed, we expect, and The Shelter will bounce as the Wonky Kong Crew meet the Phreaktion Crew in a battle of the bass bins. Siesta, Viceroy, JJ and Stride meet Wonky Kong's Mau Mau and Milan J.

"Pistolera Cantina Agave El Mexicano Teotihuacan Maya Mi Tierra Mexico Lindo Not exactly in this order..We will start in Pudong at the new Cantina Agave and Pistolera, as they are very close to each other, then work our way back into town..There will be a bus pickup Downtown and probably HongQiao as well before goin to Pudong.. The price will be the same as last year..375 rmb a person will cover everything..The bus, unlimited booze on the bus, 1 taco and 1 margarita at each of the 7 places, hopefully a sombrero or something as well like the past years.. I'm shooting for an 11am or so start time in Pudong..Then party all day.. Anyone that hasn't been on a taco crawl before, this is without a doubt, the biggest and craziest crawl we do..Probably has something to do with the Tequila i imagine..I'm expecting 40 to 50 people... It should be interesting as we will be going to 4 new restaurants that we haven't done before, all of which opened up last year..I've been assured from Maya, as 2 time defending champions, that they are bringing their A game, as apparently the smack talk has already begun between the restaurants..They've definitely got some big competition this year.. Will e-mail early next week with bus pickup times.."
