At Danny’s, we use only all natural ingredients and are one of the few Restaurants in Guangzhou that make dough the old fashioned way, using only natural sourdough yeasts, fermented for several days.
Because the pies are very thin, we baked them at high temperatures in just about five minutes, and use no dough conditioners, they are delicate and best enjoyed sparsely topped and without a knife and fork. Intensely flavorful Just pick it up, fold it and chow down!
The rest of the menu has a variety of lighter fare entrees that include Salads and Soups, which are delicious and generously portioned, including stylishly plated items ranging from our quite popular Baby Back Ribs, Crispy Skin Salmon and our Hand-Made Pasta’s to Freshly Made Sub Sandwiches and Burgers. All dishes made from only the freshest and highest quality ingredients.

I stumbled across this place exploring TIANHE. I saw this Italian restaurant with this odd name. I have been disappointed in the past with so called Italian food in Guangzhou. Most "PASTA and or PASTA sauce in Guangzhou would be comparable to Chef Boyarde. Was I in for a treat! Danny's Bagel is the best AMERICAN ITALIAN food I have had in my 4 brief months in Guangzhou. I will go so far as to say it is as good or better than many places in the states. I come from an Italian background. My Dad is 100% Italian and when I try a new place I will ask myself... "SELF, would dad like it?" And the answer is YES. I have been to Danny's bagel about 11 times in the bast 2 months. Maybe more. The food is top quality. The Cesar Salad isabsolutely great. I have had 3 different types of home made pastas. All exceptional. The Chicken Parm is by far my favorite. It's huge. It comes with a side of pasta as well. Try the creamed Spinach too. Prices are very reasonable. The staff is very attentive and it's a joy to not be rushed when you are ordering. It's clear that Danny, the owner has gone to great lengths to make sure the staff speaks some English and are always very nice. Danny is a great guy and will, if prompted stop over and say hello. He's a back East guy so those of you that want to reminisce for a moment should do so. If you are looking to step away from China for a few hours and transport yourself to the USA, I recommend DANNY'S BAGEL 100%.
I have been living in Guangzhou for 3 years and have visited many Italian restaurants, only to be disappointed. Nothing about Danny's disappoints. The Caesar salad is fantastic. The fried calamari rivals any I have ever had in the U.S. And the Chicken Parmesean is so great, I order it nearly every time. Danny is a friendly guy who always stops over for a quick hello. The ambiance is very relaxing and peaceful. The prices are reasonable compared to other Western restaurants in Guangzhou - you can enjoy a great dinner for about 70RMB per person. If you are looking for authentic Italian American food, you have to try this place !!
