Perched atop The Village at Sanlitun, this once elegant club is a serviceable late night destination for Village diners. The lounge-club combo means you can chill to live jazz when you’re not shaking bootie on the dance floor. G-Loft offers a range of cocktails, but the focus is on Champagne.

Well.., hardly no crowd tonite, the GM, was nice taiwanese lady, and the deputy manager, Charles, was a nice guy, that been live in china, for long time. Their selection of house, was well played by russian DJ. Will come again after chinese new year holiday, maybe they have a better crowd.
This place is horrendous! I went during Whose Line Is It Anyway and the service was terrible, they were rude and slow and everything was way over prices. Just because it looks tawdry swanky doesn't make it good.
Magazines, stop ignoring the fact that the staff are bad and rude

For a second, I read the review below, and thought that someone had copied my to-be-written review and pasted it! Till I realized I wasn't the only one to wait 1.5 hours for my order, and then wait another 30 minutes to get my money back while the waiter and the cashier chatted and refused and denied and schemed and delayed.
A few words with the owner (4 times) kind of helped. But she has promised me these are teething troubles and things should be better soon. For my B'day 's after party, it was a disaster.
But I shall give the place another chance in the (not so near) future, but that's ONLY because of Meiyang. Suggestions: Fire ALL bar staff and re-hire.

Living in Beijing for over 2 1/2 years and I am no stranger to pros and cons of the nightlife here. With the new influx of clubs opening within the past year (since the Olympics), I have hoped that competition will result in better customer service and operations. I went here on a Friday night (January 8, to be exact). The music was fine and I felt the layout was pretty normal. My disappointment came in the form of its operations (or rather the lack of it). My friends and I went to the bar to order drinks. The bar itself wasn't particularly busy. We waited patiently for about 20 min. and was watching the bartenders (about 4 of them) catering to a group of female customers (which is kinda expected), while our side of the bar wasn't getting attention. Although right in front of us were 2 cashiers. They knew we were waiting for a long time....even smiled at us, but never made an effort to call attention to one of the bartenders. Finally, we were able to get a floating waiter who took our order and our money. He came back with the change, and we saw him tell one of the bartenders our order. He even pointed us out to the bartender who clearly saw us. We order about 10 drinks. The first 2 arrived immediately. When trying to complete the rest of our order, the bartender was distracted by a pretty female customer (which is understandable), but then proceeded to COMPLETELY forget about us. We watched him try to flirt for about another 20 minutes and by this time were losing our patience. At this point we've been at the bar for almost an hour. After we raised our voices, the bartender finished making our order. When we were about to leave, one of the waiter accused us of not paying for the drinks. This led to calling the manager (who seem to be distracted with a girl that he was trying to flight with). At that point the manger told us to point out the waiter who took our money. Keep in mind this is at a club with minimal lighting and to be honest, when you're ordering drinks, do you notice who takes it? Luckily the waiter that took our order just happened to show up and was able to clear up the misunderstanding. While the waiter who accused us apologlze, not one word from the manager. He just walked away.
I am personal friends with owners of several bars and restaurants throughout Beijing. They confirm that hospitality, good operations isn't that difficult to instill, as long as the management knows what they're doing. Apparently, my impression here is that management and operations at this venue is definitely not up to par. I would reccommend that you try another place where the employees are actually trained properly on how to handle their customers. You don't want something like this ruin a good night.
Was expecting more. But I find this place didn't really meet my expectation. Beautiful crowd, for sure. No characteristic at all.

will check it out soon

haha. I find it amusing. Read the number and content of the reviews of this place, and see the nomination. Advertising DOES go a far way with the "readers" awards.
