This gourmet pizza delivery service is known for its excellent, English-speaking service and fast, reliable delivery. The thin crust, gourmet pies are very enjoyable, especially the chicken camembert. You'll also find great salads and passable pastas.

Keep it simple. Stick to the pizza. Go with the whole wheat crust. Enjoy awesomeness. Keeping to that formula, Gung Ho doesn't disappoint.

In fact, it's my girlfriend who like this restaurant. I think Pizza are too dry, bread cheese ball and brownies also too dry. But their salad with Feta is a good deal! Delivery service is really good and fast, delivery guy are nice and smiling. The 55 RMB combo is a great price in Sanlitun.

Tasty pizza, even for the basic. Service is good, friendly and delivery fast. Price increased quite significantly around September though. If it wasn't for that, i'd say it's the best pizza delivery company in town!

This review is for the newly opened Lido branch of GungHo! which has now been in operation for a couple of weeks. I've had the pleasure of both dining in, and ordering delivery - and both experiences have further reinforced why I am a huge fan of this spunky pizza joint! Everything from their unique and creative delivery packaging, to the attentiveness of management, to the friendly and inclusive family culture, GungHo is always an inviting and pleasant experience. The new branch has space for diners to eat in if they wish, with an attractive and comfy interior. The friendly delivery guys are prompt, and offer the option of paying by card (tell them when you are ordering) for those days you may have forgotten to visit an ATM! The food is as good as before - better if you can dine in and enjoy it fresh from the kitchen. I should also add that their brownies are incredible, and the garlic bread is AMAZING - my new addiction! Just one small request - perhaps add some yummy soups to the menu for the winter months? :) Keep up the good work GungHo!

although i'm not fans of thin crust pizza, i love the taste of gung ho, not brave enough to try creative one ,the classic pepperoni is right for me, yummy. big mint chocolate cookie was half soft half crispy, i think due to the different thickness, interesting.

I really am super impressed with this company. The ordering process is friendly, personal, efficient, and for those who find mandarin a challenge, the telephone staff speak very good English. The goods arrive in about 20-30 mins and the delivery guy always greets you with one of those smiles that brightens up your day. Then the Pizzas themselves; reasonably priced for what you get (no price rises please; any more would not be good value), and yes, they are in a different league to Annies. The other menu items aint half bad either; I particularly like the Tropical Salad. The chocolate brownie has good flavour but it's a bit dry for my liking. On balance though, Gung Ho is a solid outfit and deserves credit for creating a proper "experience" for customers, and also for proving that with the right training, Chinese staff CAN deliver on the service front.

I swear, the chicken camembert pizza gets better every single time I order it, which is like once every 3 weeks. When I first ate it when Gung Ho opened, I thought it was a little dry, but since then I think they've added more currants, and the crust (I always order white crust) has gone from okay to excellent. Also, there was a little while this spring where the delivery service seemed to get overwhelmed and was a bit slower, but the last couple times I've ordered, they're back to delivering within 20-ish minutes. So nice to see a Beijing restaurant that consistently improves!

I ordered Gung Ho's summer special delivered the other night, what a deal! I got a large pesto pizza with tomatoes, mozzarella, and tofu, a fairly big summer salad with bits of pear and flavorful blue cheese, 8 tiny cheesy bread balls (about the size of a 1kuai coin each), and two fantas. Ordering in English was quick and easy, and it seems like they keep your information on file so it'll be even quicker in the future. My food arrived in about 35 minutes, which was fortunate since I was starving. The pizza and cheesy bread were warm, the salad and drinks were cool, and the whole thing cost 99 kuai! I ate until I was stuffed and still had enough left over for breakfast the next morning. Five stars! I'll definitely order from here again.

You know how pizza is comfort food? To me seeing the smiling guy from Gung Ho! through the peephole on my door makes me feel warm and fuzzy haha. From the staff taking the order (with great English skills) to the delivery guy (who is aaaaalways so cheerful!), service is great... and their pizzas are even better! I believe they have the healthiest pizzas in town, and that whole-wheat thin crust is amazing!! And just when I thought it couldn't get any better, I got their summer salad yesterday, it was great!! I might visit them soon just to check out the place since I've always had delivery.

On the whole decent delivery food. Managed to have worked my way through a large chunk of the menu, and there are great items and some less than stellar ones. Standouts include the Greek salad (I like adding the chicken) and the other salads as well for that matter. Pizzas are okay, the pepperoni pizza is tasty, crisp, and does the job well enough for 55 rmb, but the "top-shelf" ones that they're so proud of seem lackluster and bland, and not worth almost double the price of their standard-level pizzas. Tried the carbonara, spinach pasta itself was nice, although the black forest ham instead of bacon bits was disappointingly rubbery and devoid of flavor, and the sauce was rather thin and runny. Service is decent too, had a pizza delivered once in a total shambled mess, they swapped it out very quickly (like 10 minutes) and offered a coupon for a free salad next time. All being said, there's some decent items on here and delivery is reasonably quick.

Just nibbling my way through a piping hot Spinach Pesto Parpadelle Pasta with seared tuna, and a Greek Salad on the side, and have to say fantastic work guys, its all excellent!
My choice for delivery pizza esp with the smoked pork or rocket toppings on a wheat crust that tasted good and healthy. Am somewhat disappointed by their new winter flavours tho - the duck was fatty and skimped on the hoisin sauce, the lamb was too dry and chewy. Hope the boys will work on this and introduce more flavours for the new year!

Tried the Chicken and Camembert with wheat crust, and it was not that good. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't tasteful either. There was no complexity or melody of flavors and gourmet spices as people have been saying. The chicken and Camembert just didn't do anything together, and it was rather bland. It definitely was not worth the 99RMB for a large. The staff were very polite and civil, and the Sanlitun location had a nice atmosphere, but the pizza has no charisma or depth to it.

I recently dined in at the Gung Ho Store in Sanlitun as i fail just short of their delivery zone.. I was a lucky winner of a free pizza from City Weekender and was eager to try it out. The people who work in the store are so cheery and everytime someone leaves with a pizza and comes back they all yell out a word and have a mini cheer it seemed like... lol...it was actually very nice to see.. I dont eat cheese...so i bought along my bf to help me eat the pizza.. I selected off the menu the Carnivore with wheat crust and the Bolognese with green pasta...... i loved that they offer this lighter/less fatty version for ppl.. the topping were very yummy. Pasta sauce was a bit watery... more of a soup like consistency ... was still very nice.. but felt more like a noodle soup than a traditional spag bowl... the shop itself is very clean but not really a venue for ppl to eat at....it felt a bit weird.... i would def eat their pizzas again.. however they dont deliver to where i live... and they are on the pricier side of pizza.....so thats why i took one star off...otherwise i thought it was great.

I must admit i haven't had a Gung-Ho pie delivered to me yet- but an event last night i was blessed to be served by the Bosses with bite size tongue teasers and i must say that within the next week i will have to pay the store front a visit to get one full one for myself. The pie was tasteeeee the cheese reeeeeal and flavor Off the Chain . Thanks Rich for the chance to be in your new cult. Gung-Ho

i ordered-for-delivery twice from Gungho. i've tried the Chicken Camambert, the Spinach Pesto, and a basic Pepperoni and their Pear Salad with a group of friends. the choice of wheat crust is nice and their Pear Salad was the standout. it could have been the fact it was delivered, but most of us found the crust a bit anemic and the pizza overall lacked the character or depth of something fresh out of the oven. i kind of wish it had more blown out pizza crust bubbles, an odd oval shape like it was hand-formed, and curled up cooked pepperoni. that kind of pizza, i feel, matches the style of the presentation of everything else: two guys with a relaxed sense of humor with their cool graphic designed boxes and catchy slogans.

What i really like about this place is, that their concept has heart and soul!
Anyway, I am not big of a pizza fan, but we were just around the corner, hungry and it was the last day of their "MaiYiSongYi" promotion. So we ordered a "Chicken + Camembert" and a "Nordic Salmon", both wholewheat crust. The crust itself was superb, thin crunchy and the wholewheat made it a bit more substantial. Imo Camembert with blackcurrants (or cranberries) is always a winning combination but the pizza was not convincing nor was our second choice the Salmon one. Both were a bit bland. I guess a bit more sauce, cheese and toppings do the trick.

What a big difference the 2-inch size increase makes to these pizzas -- Gung Ho changed their larges from 12" to 14" August 1. We ordered two larges yesterday, and they were much bigger than the pizzas I ate at the opening party. The ordering went very smoothly, and the pizzas came quickly. Five stars for service, seriously. I also love how you can order a bottle of wine from Gung Ho, and the house wine is Grace Vineyards (China's only drinkable wine, in my opinion). It's only RMB120, and they bring it in a special cold case if you get the Chardonnay. Pizzas were very good. The servings of rocket and parmesan that come on the side of the fresh rocket pizza are a) a fantastic idea. Who wants wilted rocket that's been sitting on the hot pizza for 20 minutes by the time you get it? b) very generous portions, especially the rocket. I thought the tomato sauce was very good, too, although I could have used just a bit more cheese. The chicken camembert pizza is extremely unique and very good. I would like a bit more cheese, or sauce, or black currants on this one, too, though. Really creative and great, but could just use a little something more to be fully satisfying. Overall great job, and I love how the Gung Ho guys are paying so much attention to customer satisfaction with the service, cold wine and increase in pizza sizes.

Biased but still true - this place is GREAT! These Kiwis are doing a fantastic job of bringing something new to the Beijing food scene, with their gourmet touch on delivery food - whole wheat thin crust pizza bases, yummy toppings like cranberries and camembert cheese, hand-made spinach pasta made fresh each day, and great salads - both the Greek and Summer salads were excellent. Delivery was prompt and service was great - staff had a good level of English and were patient while we made last minute changes to our order! Also love that they deliver iF Juice - so good!

Ordered the "Four Cheese" & "Smoked Ham & Shroom"...delivery arrived on-time (and very polite too). Good service (Lisa-phone order taker speaks English well).
My boy love the pizza, so do I. Nice!
Ordered a couple of pizzas last night--the smoked ham and mushroom and the spinach with feta cheese (off the "Our faves" part of the menu). Service and delivery was prompt and very courteus. The pizzas were tasty though quite salty. At RMB55 for 2 medium pizzas it's a fantastic deal. At RMB55 for one of the mediums, it's a bit of a stretch.

I haven't tried the delivery service, but after trying 7 out of the 10 pizzas on the menu, I'm happy to report that they have done a brilliant job, simple, fresh ingredients put together in very interesting combinations. I recommend the spinach pesto that comes with smoked tofu (!!!) and four cheeses. They're doing a 1 for 1 deal through the end of July, so definitely a great option to call for some deliveries!

[HTML_REMOVED]The rather steep prices for Gungho Pizza buy you gourmet toppings, refreshingly efficient service and quick delivery on an army of pretty pink bikes—if you live in the Sanlitun area. The size and appearance of these thin-crust pies resemble Annie’s pizzas, but the taste is much better. They’re also similar to Pyro, but more creative. After a meticulous English-language phone conversation with our server, our order arrived promptly, as ordered. The large chicken camembert pizza (¥95) with whole wheat crust, studded with wine-soaked currants, is an epicurean dream sufficiently sized for two lighter ladies. The smoked pork, green garlic and wild mushroom pizza (¥70/large) and the fresh rocket pizza (¥55/large) are also tasty options from the 10-pizza menu. The pies, unfortunately, don’t stand the test of time, losing appeal when they get cold. The pear, blue cheese and walnut summer salad (¥50), with its healthy helping of toppings, proved a hit. The Greek salad (¥50) includes cucumber, tomatoes, kalamata olives, feta and red onion, though not in the same generous proportions as the summer salad. The spinach pesto pasta (¥40) came garnished with a flavorful, well-balanced sauce, but the soggy noodles disappointed.
