This Super Bar Street favorite returns to Sanlitun's Tongli Studios. The falafel and mezze appetizer platter are highly recommended. Wi-Fi and ample plug-ins are great for the tech crowd, while lazy lunchers will appreciate the ample natural light and friendly service.

not a bad person, nor a saint. i simply love this place, and it all goes back to the owners, whose dedication and presence keeps this place humming. i value this place both for the standards (i haven't had a bad falafel or hummus [even over alameen and alsafa, which i do like] here yet, and love their baba ganoush) and less often ordered dishes. this weekend saw two companions and myself tuck into the stuffed, roasted chicken, which had golden skin while still being juicy, capitalizing wonderfully on the rice redolent of cinnamon stuffed inside, all atop caramelized onions and flatbread (yes, the edges of the flatbread were delightfully crisp). i am unabashed in my loyalty to this place, especially now that they're closer than before.

Maybe I'm a bad person, but the falafel I had was average at best. Bland and lukewarm, I was underwhelmed, especially after reading the rave reviews. But perhaps I was just coming in with too high of expectations. The kiwi mint smoothie was quite tasty though, and the service was really friendly.

Never saw what the big deal is about Biteapitta's hummus (Alameen and Alsafa do it much better) but the falafel sandwich is amazing.
I love to going there for lunch, but it's not really a good atmosphere--feels like an upmarket McDonald's. And dinner time? Definitely get it to go unless you're a drunk party-goer needing to line your stomach before heading back up to the dance floor.

Gonna throw my (glowing-and-unnecessary) two cents into the mix: Biteapitta does a delicious hummus and an even better falafel pitta. Have yet to try their meat dishes, but with vegie options this awesome, I don't know when I'll get around to it. Do feel that they are a little stingy with bread - our 30-something bowl of hummus came with one (deliciously warm, it must be said) round of flatbread, the size of my palm. I want to say that quality-wise, Biteapitta's hummus slightly edges out Rumi's, but Rumi is better value and far more generous with their portions.

I have been dinning at Biteapitta once or twice a week. I like this place very much.
Food is not expensive, and service is good. Humous and Falafel, Chicken Sandwich are my favorite.
Must try: their minty lemonade.

So I don’t get the hype around this restaurant. Each time I’ve gone what I order arrives looking and tasting like it was sitting in the kitchen for hours waiting for someone to claim it as dinner. My over opinion of this restaurant would be rather low if it weren’t for their hummus which pretty much is amazing. Service is good when the manager is around. Prices, in my humble opinion, are far too high.
At best this is an average restaurant.

Fresh! Fresh! I went there, everything was so fresh. Natural flavours, fresh tomatos, cucumber, mint mmmm.... I loved the taboule, i prefer it with a bit more of semoule but was huge quantity and very fresh. The houmus was also very good but we had to ask for the bread as they forgot. The skewers was all just a bit overcook, but still ok. Oh!! the small cake i forgot the name, is a sweet square cake so delicious. The space and setting have not personality. The service is ....... ok for the price you pay for the whole experience. But i go there for the food and i will be back.

Previously a fan,and one of those super-excited that this restaurant was opening in Tongli, I recently discovered that bitapitta has become synonymous with "annoying" in my mind. The food is still good. Excellent, in fact. But the service and policies have gone decidedly downhill. Most sadly of all, Bitapitta has moved in the direction of nickel-and-diming (or, I suppose it's more accurate to say, wu jiao and yi kuaiing)...which, frankly, is the best way to ruin my mood at dinner. We ordered the mezze plate, which normally comes with sufficient bread to actually consume the 10 little dishes of hummus and other sauces. Instead, we got one small piece. After some negotiation we managed to get another piece but were informed that anything beyond that would cost 2 kuai each. Seriously?!? For a 55 kuai dish of squishy stuff that has to be spread on bread, I don't view it as unreasonable to expect sufficient bread. The bread probably costs them a few jiao to make. I understand that prices have gone up in Beijing, but why not just raise the price of the dish to 60 kuai, provide enough bread to actually eat the appetizer, and not annoy customers? I was seriously frustrated enough by the end of the meal that I didn't bother ordering the baklava I normally would have gotten. So, bitapitta, you got my two kuai, but you didn't get the 15 I would have spent on baklava. And when my friends say "hey where should we go grab a bit to eat?" next time, you will NOT be on my list of suggestions. Because there are tons of other great places to eat in Beijing that don't annoy me enough to come home and write a review about it.

I discovered this place ages ago after seeing a review on lumdimsum... i knew i just had to try the pita bread with falafel and hummus!!! SOO YUM! i had it twice in the same week! lol i have since dragged numerous friends there to try the food! i have also sampled their main dishes and want to try their stuffed baked chicken! looks amazing! also love their rice! its with lentils! so so yum! def recommend! and there is something for everyone on this menu and its super healthy!

Constant in (good) taste, quantity (which is more than enough) and service (prompt and efficient). It had become a staple of mine in the area

SERIOUSLY THE BEST! OTW there NOW!

Yah! Bittapita is back! I love this place. Their hummus and falafel are wonderful!

Not pretentious but tasty food. It's great to just chill out with friends. Best pitta bread, big portions of food (for my girly stomach!). Nice waiters and nice boss. Even tho the design isnt very fashion and you can have the feeling to be in a cantina, i I def recommend this place for the food and the good service!

I heard this place is good but i think it better than that, its just Great, good food, excellent quality their Hummus & Falafel sandwich are excellent !!!

Craving for hummus, I made my first visit to the newly located biteapitta. Went there for lunch and it was packed. The food, as always is amazing and the set lunches come at very fair prices.
Biteapitta is BACK, Baby!!
This place is one of my all-time favorites and I’m so happy they have now moved to Sanlitun’s Tongli Studio! If anyone can turn around Tongli’s reputation, it’s Biteapitta - this is a delightful escape from the grungy exterior street. And to think that I used to make special trips out to Super Bar Street (by Lady Street) just for my beloved Hummus & Falafel Pitta Sandwich!
Their menu has remained the same as before with special lunch sets from 11AM-2PM priced between RMB 45-60. Menu is inclusive of appetizers (RMB 22-30), Hummus Corner (RMB28-45), Salads (RMB 35-40), Main Grilled Selection (RMB 45-85), Pitta Sandwiches (RMB 20-28), and Pitta Nini’s (RMB 25-35). Drinks include coffee, tea, ice lemonade, soda, fresh fruit juice and yogurt-based smoothies (RMB 25). They also have a limited wine menu.
Food is healthy & fresh and quality is consistent. Service is efficient and friendly, and their Hummus & Falafel pitta sandwich (only RMB 25) is to die for!!

Great to have them back. Food is just as awesome, service just as friendly as I remember it.
Couple of nitpicks: new place is not a nice as the old one with it's gorgeous open grill area, although the location's way more convenient.
And about that location: it's in Tongli studios, which means that after about 6:30 or so, the bars around it fire up the bass. There's tons of thumpa-thump-thump bleeding in through the walls and floors, so you might want to reconsider if you're the type that's easily bothered by that kind of thing.
All that said, none of that's gonna dissuade me from coming back. Fantastic to have one of Beijing's best Middle Eastern restaurants back in business!

inc-redi-BLE!!! awesome value, super fresh delicious food, and basically an all-round good time. Sets are great, and there's basically something for everyone on the menu. Stoked this place is back!

So stoked this place is back up and running! Have been there twice in the last 4 days, and LOVE everything I've had - the pita sandwiches and hummus are delicious, the set menus are total value for money, and the staff are friendly and provide excellent service. Beside all this, the food is all healthy, and to celebrate their reopening every diner is gifted a free glass of red wine! Gotta love this place!!

So happy to hear the news, we will be there tomorrow...

The Best Moussaka ever! Chicken liver dish... to die for, maybe not so many people will like it, however this dish is not easy to find in differrent restaurant. Humous with smoked paprika just right to be accompanied with their famous pitta bread. Minty lemonade, very refreshing to cut through greasiness of chips that accompanied with moussaka.

So happy this place has opened up in Sanlitun. The falafel and hummus sandwich was just great, and the "health" salad was really big, with a great variety of fresh veggies and a nice vinaigrette. Service was excellent, too. Yay for good falafel!

Loved it. My initial impression of the place was good overall. It's bright (lots of yellow lights & a wooden floor), simple, clean and modest (which is great - no aesthetic gimmicks). My brother and I, we had two their of their sandwiches: the falafel & hummus and the shawarma. The ingredients were fresh, healthy and tasty and, since it was the 2nd day of inauguration, they served us complimentary wine with our food. The owner even came over to see how we were doing and if we were happy with the food. The price range is affordable for the general consumer (even locals) particularly in the sanlitun area. So, I do expect to be a frequent visitor. Two thumbs up for the joint.

I heard that they going to open in sanlitun early feb 2010. I love this pitta bread!! The best in Beijing!

I eat here a lot, and overall it's not bad, but they do have consistency issues. I often order the Humus and Falafel sandwich; it can range from excellent to just ok. On one occasion it was served in record time (less than one minute), but was cold; I will refrain from speculating as to why. When I told the waiter it was cold, he just looked blank and said "that's how it's supposed to be". Other times it and other items I have ordered have been good enough to call acceptable and pretty much meets my expectations at this price point.
I really do NOT like the seating arrangement; it reminds me of a school classroom with all the tables in neat rows facing the front.
I too will give credit to the owners, as they are often there and they do make a point of getting to know their regular guests.
