A visit to this popular chain is a gentle introduction to Chinese cuisine, as crowds of expats can testify. They offer everything from duck to sweet and sour dishes to stir-fried chicken wings, all served up in a clean and upscale environment. We especially recommend the exquisite hong shao rou.

Convenient location. Lot of choice to choose from and but a little bit pricier than its CBD location. 1st recommendation - Beijing Duck - they separate the meat from the skin, meaning there is no in-between fat, plus you get the crisp of the skin and the lean meat (for filling) all these processed in a conventional charcoaled manner... 2nd recommendation - Fish (Squirrel Fish -Excellent mix of sauce n fish. 3rd - Spiced Pork Ribs - like those usually served in a Mongolian/ Tibetan restaurant but succulently preserved in its moisted inside and crispy on the outside. No regrets and typically a fair crowd of foreigners...
after almost one year since my first visit to xiao wang fu, i am still impressed with this restaurant. for all this time, i keep bringing my guests and friends to this restaurant and always managed to give them a very pleasant and relaxed chinese dining experience.
i gave 4 stars on my previous reviews, but now i don't hesitate to give 5 stars.

I'm deeply impressed by the outdoor, rooftop seating that gives one a chance to see Ritan Park at its best — particularly on a spring day in Beijing. A great selection of Chinese food, including Peking duck. Go for broke when it comes to ordering from the menu.

Always one my choice, problem is table setting can be a bit uncomfortable. Service is not consistent, but otherwise food is superb and plenty of choice. I havent tried the patio yet...
But a great place!
had a table outside at the terrace, it was nice coz we can look over the park while eating and chatting. the food is really good. we ordered too much that nite, got quite a lot of leftover but we couldnt 'dabao' since we had to go somewhere else afterward. i couldnt stop thinking about the food that i left there until the next day. i agree with people who said this is a good place to introduce chinese food to visitors. service could be better.

My all-time favorite Chinese restaurant. Excellent food, great location, and remarkably good service.
Very nice location and good food.

Good for company I love Ritan Park. I love classy Chinese. Melding the two is this Xiao Wang Fu. Definitely on my list whenever I have visitors come in from out of town.

A Table With A View When Xiao Wang Fu opened in Ritan Park I was keen to check it out. I love their roast duck and crispy fried dofu. The place is a gem. The food is well prepared, offers a decent selection and is very good value. You cannot beat the rooftop dining. All summer and into the fall you could eat under the leafy trees overlooking the lovely park. Now winter is here and we are back indoors, but that is OK because the two-level dining room has a cozy feel. The kitchen has never failed to deliver a quality meal -- fine for us, but also good enough for company.

One of the loveliest places to dine on Chinese fare in Beijing. It wows guests and is beautiful!
