Being able to sing along with the Transformers theme song while you eat makes any restaurant better for me. Every time I have a friend come in from out of town I make sure to take them here, sit them down, and proceed to blow there mind with spicy chicken wings and beer.
The location(in the Hutong),the old chinese cartoon music,the funny and energitic young owners,the colorful and wonderful Bj dishes,and some famous somebody is more more interesting than the chincken skewer!Summer time sitting on the open roof,drinking ice BJ beers and eating chicken wings with my friends is the most enjoyment!
I'm not so sure about the 'hippest chuanr joint' rating, but Hot Bean Cooperative is a fun place to grab some chicken wings, chuanr and beer in a laid back atmosphere, and a good place to start the night before heading to Gulou area bars...
