Maybe my expectations were too high, but as an expat I was looking for much more.
Last weekend joined their tour to Tiananmen and the Forbidden City. I'be been there before, but never with a guide, so I wanted to hear some professional explanation about the places. The guide was very lacking in knowledge, spending most of the time at "take 10 minutes for pictures" rather than explaining. When I did ask for some specific explanations, I found out she just doesn't know much.
If you are an expat, I wouldn't suggest their services (actually, neither if you are a tourist), you can know more from the audio tour service of the forbidden city.

Most enjoyable day spend in Beijing Tour guide was excellent!! The hutongs in the pedicab was nice, the walk in the market and street was fabulous,and what a pleasure to meet and see a couple of teachers ,so proud of their hutong.. The visit of the Forbidden city was great
