In cooperation with the Indian Embassy, Wu Promotion would like to invite you to a free workshop on Thursday, 9th September at 7:30 pm with the presence of the jazz group Boi Akih.
Representing the Netherlands, Indonesia and India, Boi Akih makes good use of many influences ranging from Indonesian traditional music to blues, Arabic rhythms, West African songs and more. Monica Akihary's dazzling voice, Niels Brouwer's guitar performing together with special guest on tabla, Sandip Bhattacharya, will lead you into a new developed world of subtle feeling and glowing colors. The music of Boi Akih is a prism of various roots and rays where colors and sounds come together within a strong compositions foundation along improvisational passways. Please come and join us for an incredible workshop full of exotic amalgam spiced with Indian rhythms and lively improvisation. It starts with Boi Akih’s performance followed by Q&A, interactive activities such as tabla demonstration and discovery of delicious Indian snacks.
