Follow a seldom-used trail to get to the Silver Pagodas, a set of five impressive 300 year-old pagodas still standing on the site of an old temple. The hike will also pass by a village, quarries, a local shrine and "north Beijing's number one waterfall." RMB320 includes transportation, guides, snacks, lunch and drinks. Reservations essential.

The hike:
For this hike we will follow a seldom-used trail to get to the Silver Pagodas, a set of five impressive 300 year-old pagodas still standing on the site of an old temple. On the way to the pagoda site we will take a long walk through the countryside, passing a village, quarries, and a local shrine, before a steep climb to the 730m peak of Holly Mountain. From the top we can look down on the pagodas and large swathes of the surrounding countryside, and as we follow the path down we will pass large bells, “North Beijing’s Number One Waterfall,” and plenty of other interesting local landmarks. After the hike we’ll get a late lunch at a local restaurant - the cost of the food and drinks is included in the price of the hike.
